Counterpane Internet Security, Inc., released 2005 Attack Trends: Beyond The Numbers. Bruce Schneier (CTO of Counterpane Internet Security, Inc.) provided valuable insight into the analysis of attack data collect between Jan 1, 2005 and Oct. 31, 2005. Results are not so new but very important:

1. Attacks are getting sophisticated.
2. Firms with sensitive customer information are more vulnerable.
3. Financial sector is the most vulnerable to criminal acts.
